DAY 2:
After lunch, we leave the camp and begin a sharp increase in Pachacutec Pass (4458m / 14,625 feet), the highest point of the trek. From here there is a spectacular view of the snow-covered mountain, Pitusiray, Pachacutec lake and surrounding valleys. After the pass, we continue walking and descend into the next valley to reach the town of Quiswarani (3700m / 12,138 feet), where you will spend the night. Along the way, the landscape is impressive - there are glacial lakes, waterfalls and snowy mountains. This area is also rich in birds and the possibility of seeing Andean ibis, Andean geese and flamingos, among others.
